Awards
Many of the inventions from Lipp have been patented and are meanwhile known the world over. The two most important inventions, i.e. the Lipp Dual-Seam System and the material Verinox, have also received several awards:
For the invention of the Lipp Dual-Seam System:

Rudolf-Diesel Medal
The Rudolf Diesel Medal, an award which is presented approximately every two years, specifically rewards entrepreneurial work based on inventions, and as such, inevitably the economic relevance of the person being honoured
For the invention of the material Verinox:
2005
Innovation Award of the German State of Baden-Württemberg
This prize has been awarded since October 1984 to small and medium-sized companies on the initiative and in memory of the former Minister for the Economy, Dr. Rudolf Eberle.
2006
German Steel Innovation Award
The competition, held every three years, was founded in 1989 by the German steel industry to promote innovative applications and new ideas on all aspects of the material steel.
